Anna Lee Ordoubadi, LCSW - I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience practicing in the Triangle area.

My experience growing up and attending undergraduate school in Jackson, Mississippi provided an awareness of the cycles of trauma and poverty and their profound impact on the family system. This created a passion for empowering and supporting families in challenging circumstances. I received a Master’s degree in Social Work at North Carolina State University in 2014. I interned with the Child Welfare Division of Social Services and ultimately worked for Child Protective Services in Chatham County, NC. This work provided a strong foundation of supportive interventions that serve to shift traumatic experiences from defining moments in a family’s story, to an opportunity for growth, healing, and connection. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina to help individuals and families build on their inherent wisdom and strength to develop strong relationships and healthy communication styles that foster resiliency. I use empathy, understanding, and unconditional acceptance to build a trusting relationship with my clients to encourage personal growth and positive change.

I believe in the power of self-compassion and mindfulness to provide a path forward for individuals and families struggling with life transitions, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, child/adolescent behavior issues, and parenting support. I specialize in children, adolescents, and parents, drawing on a wealth of experience with attachment theory, crisis intervention, trauma healing and processing, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. My energetic and engaging approach is a good fit for young children and geriatric patients who may prefer in-person sessions. Treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, narrative therapy, family systems theory, psychosocial education, parent training, and client-centered approaches.
